About: Marcia and her husband grew up on coffee farms, so it's only natural that after their marriage they purchased their first farm together. In 2013 coffee prices were below most producers' cost of production, and Marcia and her husband considered selling their farm to pay their debts. Marica was cupping one day and by chance, identified a lot that tasted extremely good. She took over the operation of the farm and worked on replicating the quality of that isolated lot. Marcia and her husband could hold onto their farm, and today it is thriving with high productivity and excellent quality. When Marcia is not working her own farm, she coordinates a group of female coffee producers in the Mantiqueira region.
